PJ Budler is a fifth-generation cattleman from South Africa with a global perspective and a lifelong passion for livestock. He founded BonHaven Beef Cattle at just 15 years old and spent the next two decades building it into an internationally respected operation—exporting genetics, breaking auction records, and consulting with producers across the world.

Now based in Texas, PJ serves as the International Business Manager for Trans Ova Genetics. PJ has judged more than 100 cattle breeds in nearly 50 countries, and in 2017 became the first person to judge national cattle shows on all six continents. He’s also the founder of the Champion of the World competition, a global event that spotlights excellence in cattle breeding.

PJ Budler’s efforts are recognized globally. Whether he’s ringside in Rio or talking genomics in Kansas, he brings deep industry knowledge, global experience, and a genuine belief in the future of beef.
